Emily Stabile, age 14, has been studying at the Crooked Tree Arts Center School of Ballet for over ten years. Her past summer studies include: Suzanne Farrell’s Cedar Island Program 2016 and Ballet Chicago Advanced Summer Intensive 2017.
She is honored to have had her piece selected for the RAD Festival. Being able to move freely and express her feelings through dance are both very exciting and important to her. She has choreographed other pieces in the past, but this piece is special and dear to her heart. Emily will build upon this experience and continue to be very committed to expanding her knowledge of choreography and the love for movement.
Crooked Tree Arts Center School of Ballet was founded in 2003 by Artistic Director, Heather Raue (2010 Dance Teacher Award recipient by Dance Teacher Magazine). With her colleague, Karrie Benedict, the program offers serious year-round dance training to ages 4 to pre-professional.
Over the past several years, CTAC School of Ballet students have (upon audition) attended the country’s most elite summer and year-round programs. Many have graduated from the program to pursue dance in the university or conservatory setting. And some have graduated from the program to receive professional contracts.
Benedict and Raue take educating and grooming the future’s; dancers, choreographers, directors, educators, collaborators very seriously.
