Cesar Brodermann

Choreographer, Film Artist

César Brodermann, from Mexico City , is a multifaceted artist residing in New York City.
His work combines dance, photography, and film in an attempt to study the limitless physical potential of the human body and its connection to the earth.

 

He graduated with honors from the Certificate Program at Peridance Capezio Center in 2016. While there, he performed works by Igal Perry, Milton Myers, Cindy Salgado (Kidd Pivot), Milton Myers, and MADBOOTS Dance. He attended the Gaga Intensives in Tel Aviv and New York in 2016 and 2017, and Springboard Danse Montreal in 2016 where he worked with Fernando Melo (GötegorgsOperans Danskompani, Rehearsal Director).

 

During the 2016/17 season, Brodermann apprenticed with the renowned New York City-based company, Gallim Dance (Andrea Miller, Artistic Director). He has performed with Gallim Dance at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City Center, Indiana University, and the South Dade Cultural Arts center in Miami.

 

TV performance credits include “La Academia” (Mexico) and “Capadocia” (HBO Latino America) as an actor.

 

Brodermann has taught internationally in places such as Costa Rica, Mexico and throughout the U.S. at institutions such as University of the Arts in Philadelphia, School of Creative and Performing Arts in New York City, and World Beat in Mexico City.

 

As a photographer Brodermann has been fortunate to work with dancers, choreographers, and companies internationally. His commissions include Sidra Bell Dance New York (NY), MADBOOTS Dance (NY) , Gallim Dance (NY), and Loni Landon Dance Projects (NY). His work has been published in Dance Spirit Magazine (U.S.A.), Mode in Motion (UK), and King Kong Magazine (UK). In collaboration with t he skinny type Brodermann’s art installations have been presented at Heath Gallery (NY), Center for Performance Research (NY), and Brooklyn Night Baazar (NY).

 

Currently, Brodermann dances and collaborates with MADBOOTS Dance, Project 44, and Danielle Russo. He is just finalized his first short film Are you holding me, or am I holding myself?
