Carolyn Pavlik

Film Artist

Carolyn Pavlik is an Associate Professor of Dance at Western Michigan University. She earned her M.F.A in Dance from the University of Washington and her B.A. in Dance from the University of Texas. She is the co-editor of Site Dance: Choreographers and the Lure of Alternative Spaces along with colleague Melanie Kloetzel. Carolyn’s dance for the camera works have been presented worldwide, most notably at the American Dance Festival, LesGaiCineMad, VII Festival Internacional de Video-danza de Buenos Aires, 14th Quinzena de Danca de Almada – Contemporary Dance Festival, Cineautopsia: Bogota Experimental Film Festival, and the 41st Seattle International Film Festival. Her concert choreography has been presented in New York, Washington, Texas, Washington, D.C., Ohio and Michigan.
